Vic Labs achieve Responsible Care Status from the Chemical Business Association
The team at Vickers Laboratories are pleased to announce that they have achieved Responsible Care status from the Chemical Business Association, committing the company to proactively supporting safe chemical management. The care committee met with the team on the 5th July 2016, during which the application was approved and permission to use the Responsible Care logo was granted.
Responsible Care is a key part of the chemical industry’s contribution to international chemical management. The Responsible Care Global Charter, first published in 2006 and revised in 2014, is built on a vision for future development, focusing on the challenges facing the chemistry industry and its sustainability.
Those who commit to the charter dedicate their company, people, technologies and business practice to the following six elements: a corporate leadership culture that proactively supports safe chemical management, safeguarding people and the environment, strengthening management systems, influencing business partners to promote safe management of chemicals, engaging stakeholders, and contributing towards sustainability by expanding the economic opportunities and development of new technologies.
As one of the world’s most vital business sectors, maintaining responsible ethics is key to bringing a tradition of openness and honesty back to the centre of the chemical industry, and is important to the rising performance around the globe. As part of a worldwide team, those who commit to the Responsible Care obligations help to establish a team of inspiring, self-regulation companies that are able to lighten the human footprint on our earth and its resources.
